Biography

Kevin Minnick brings both a clinician's eye and a leader's hand to Daylight Physical Therapy, serving as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer alongside his work treating patients. He believes great care and a well-run practice go hand in hand. One makes the other possible.

Kevin earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Southwest Baptist University in 2012. Over more than a decade in outpatient orthopedics, his practice has centered on spine pain, both low back and neck, along with general orthopedic and post-operative rehabilitation. He has pursued advanced training through the International Spine and Pain Institute and the International Academy of Orthopedic Medicine (IAOM) to sharpen his hands-on skills and clinical decision-making for patients dealing with persistent or complex pain.

Teaching has been a steady thread throughout Kevin's career. He has spent several years serving as a clinical instructor for Doctor of Physical Therapy students, and in 2018 he was named Clinical Instructor of the Year by Southwest Baptist University, recognition of the same mentorship he now brings to the Daylight team.

Kevin first met David Lyday while both were physical therapy students at Southwest Baptist University, where Kevin worked as a teaching assistant for kinesiology. The two began working together in June 2018, and that partnership eventually grew into Daylight Physical Therapy, where Kevin now helps lead the business side of the practice while continuing to treat patients himself.

Outside the clinic, Kevin's time belongs to his family. He married his high school sweetheart, who teaches kindergarten locally and also works as a travel agent. Together they enjoy traveling with their two kids, cheering on their son at his baseball games, and watching their daughter perform in theater and musicals. Kevin also spends his free time road cycling and reading.
